Those dark dwarven halls

Seems like all the dwarven halls i've found are very dark.  Shouldn't they have torches on the walls or am I seriously underestimating dwarven nightvision?

there are no lights in the game yetwell... besides my tileset... but those are really levers...

Are there any merchants in them?  I have given up going in there, because they are big and empty.  Human towns are bad enough, I haven't been to an elvin one yet.

lol my last adventure in an elven town made me chuckle. theres no buildings or anything (living in the trees and all that) instead it was just elves standing around in different places on the map
