The new fleet is rechristened 2nd Fleet "Skadi".

Quote from: Defence Pact
The undersigned agree to a mutual defence agreement, in which each member pledges their fleets to the defence of each other member.
Losses shall be assigned evenly. Each lost fleet shall be randomly assigned to a member, then that member is excluded from future loss-randomisation, until every player has lost a fleet (at which point all players are put back in to the loss pool).
This agreement lasts for one turn (unless specifically renewed).

Rewind, can't keep going
My mind keeps replaying
That night when we dove in
But now I'm sinking

Alright, well, that's enough I think, we obviously won't attack into that this turn.

Since contracts are removed via mutal consent of all signed players (is my understanding) I'll ask Fivebalesofhay if we can dissolve the Triplicate Alliance attack contract.

Is that allowed? It feels like it shouldn't be, but I guess maybe?

Just in case it is, might as well lol.

Turn 6: Bunch of Filthy Animals
I am the Emperor.  My word is law.
TURNTURNTURN

The Emperor's Mood: Irritated

The Emperor Insanus Cancer squints at the creature on the other side of the glass.  "And this is a...?"

"A sea-turtle, my Emperor," the aide replied patiently, reading off the placard beneath the exhibit.  "A rare Earth species known for its delicate flavor and ability to filter plastics from the ocean.  It went extinct during the Global Cooling crisis when the beaches became too cold to support the various species its young would devour shortly after being hatched."

"Extinct?"

"Yes, my Emperor.  This one is an animatronic."

"Ah.  And this creature over here...?"

"It's what was known as a 'cow', my Emperor.  It was known for its ability to turn plants into various gasses, but was hunted to extinction due to its propensity for causing Global Warming.  Of course, without the numerous hordes roaming the land, the planet soon after went into Global Cooling, resulting in the sea-turtles extinction."

"And this is also...?"

"An animatronic, my Emperor, yes."

"And this one?"

"This was a rare primate known as a close cousin to humans, my Emperor.  Known for its ability to craft tools and hoard foods for winter months, it went extinct somewhere between the Global Warming and Global Cooling crisises."

"And - "

"Yes, my Emperor, this 'Portugeese' is an animatronic as well."

"Do we not have any living creatures in this zoo?"  The Emperor snapped, disgusted.  "Inform the Houses that I will be accepting donations for my new Imperial Zoo.  And tell them to make it interesting!"

First Mechanator of the Forge wins the bid!  The Emperor graciously grants the 5R world to Criptfiend.  Insanus Cancer accepts the Slag, then trades it to a minor House in exchange for their Fleet.

New Event!  The Emperor is accepting animals for his zoo.  They can be either native xeno species or specially adapted Earth creatures for your particular world.  Write a short paragraph or two about your species, which world it comes from, and how it behaves in its natural habitat.  The most 'interesting' species sent earns that House a Favour.

New Planet Available!
17[0]F: Size 17 Farmworld.
Available for auction.  Starting bid is ^10.
A rich, green and blue marble orbiting slowly around a bright white star, this world is a richly vegetated planet.  Higher gravity than normal means trees are not quite as common, but the native flora here grows in lattice-like patterns which allows for both sturdy upward growth and permits sunlight to reach lower levels of the vegetation.  Rich oxygen production means that humans can breathe unassisted, though the over-abundance and high concentration can prove toxic for those unadapted to this world.  Fauna generally consists of insects, beetles, and hive-creatures.  These are generally smaller in size, but truly gargantuan mammalian leviathans patrol the oceans.  It is generally advisable to stay on land on this planet.

House Durin is granted 8th Fleet "Reckless Effect" in exchange for their Favour.
