What attributes/stats are important for adventurers in 51.01?

Obviously the main three body attributes, but what of the others? I remember most of the mind stats were useless for a combat-focused adventurer, is that still true?

For physical stats: Strength, Agility, and Endurance are very important for combat, Toughness is important as well though ideally you don't want to get hit at all.

For mental stats: Spatial Sense and Kinesthetic Sense are very important for combat, Willpower, Intuition, and Focus are also important.

Do you know how to check the attributes in steam version? I can't figure it out.

If they vary significantly from the racial average, it'll be mentioned in the top-right box on the overview tab, or on the Description sub-tab on the Health tab.

But currently to see an actual list one must use https://docs.dfhack.org/en/latest/docs/tools/gui/gm-unit.html

The latest beta has "character archetypes" added, basically preset character skills that make reasonable choices in starting skills.

That's a convenient addition. The v51 character creator looks more friendly than the v47 version. It seemed like there were so many screens to click through in version 47.
