yeah

for some reason toady has seen fit to make all humans, elves, and dwarves psychic

however NOT seen fit to let us use our psychic powers to turn in quests to impossible to find dwarven mayors >=(

Well, killing them directly will earn you some no-no points with the local constabulary.  However, killing them indirectly holds no chance for hard feelings, nor does it seem to inhibit your ability to pick up new meatshields.

So, find a pack of wolves or a giant mole, and then promptly forget which way you were going.  They won't even look back.

Aye, I found out the hard way a night or two ago when I mercy killed a drunk that decided to wrestle an iron man or three and just kept passing out afterwards. I went back to the mayor to claim my reward and he attacked me  :(

see i thought i could beat the system

i needed some clothes for my play now adventurer

so i got a drunk to follow my naked ass WAYYYYYY out into the woods

then i ripped out his eyes and strangled him to death

but

me being the avid crime show watcher

i thought i could beat the system

so i burned the body

and threw the bones in the lake

but somehow or another

detective Mafol the Mayor had convicted me in abstention and sentenced me to death =(

i guess i deserved it but, still, he's got some legendary CSIDwarves working for him to have dredged the lake in such a short amount of time =o

Sadly there's no way for DF to know your intentions when you act.

Euthanasia? No, must be murder.

That could be tricky to prove in a courtroom, but I think I'd have a fair shot with something that happened to one of my adventurers.

Back when GCSs were serious-instant-death rather than just whimsical-toy-with-you-and-then-death as they are now, I got into a fight.
A big fight.
One of my companions was webbed and paralyzed... I lost my spear... I figured that the webbed guy wasn't going to be using his crossbow so I grabbed it from him and used it to kill the GCS.  (saving his life, of course)

Now, this quick-thinking earned me the hatred of Mr. Webby and all his mates.  So I had to kill them all, in self defense.

What a world!
