Changing gender

Hi there !

I'd like to change some of my dwarves' gender (I'm trying to tell a story involving a few friends). First I wanted to use Dwarf Companion, but it seems that it is difficult to set it up. Is it easier to edit my savegame to turn my friends into proper males ?

Dwarf Companion isn't that hard to set up, and anything else would likely be more difficult.

But I guess it's not compatible with 38c, is it?

I can't use it at all (My computer freezes if I run anything else at the same time as DF). Which is a shame, because it looks awesome.
