Make Chocolate more a mountainous region substances with more and more pure chocolates from milk to dark lower you dig. Steel should be white chocolate as it is a partial chocolate that uses impurities for flavor. Adamantine should be something cool. For flux you can have marsh mellows....Peeps.

For regions - do it based on tempurature. In colder regions have more chocolate and marshmellows. In warm have cakes and cookies.</STRONG>

I already have flux implemented. It seems we both thought of marshmallows, as there are a wide variety of fluffy fluxes to choose from.

Also, I used sour candies as aquifers. It seemed ironic.

Adamantine is vanilla. Also ironic.

I don't believe I can do temperature based, but if there are existing tags for it, I'll look. As far as I know, the only limitations are by rock type(sedimentary, metamorphic, or either type of igneous), or by specific strains of rock(so you only find certain things inside granite, for instance). I'll split up each of my "topping" ores to various regions, for kicks and variety, and even out their price, since I just listed my favorites as more expensive.

I'll upload the entirety of my new matglosses tomorrow, since I'm lazy and hungry tonight. I need more chocolate liquor or something, to put it in context.

You could seperate trees and plants out by biome, so that's something. Remeber, deserts (desserts?) are now giant sugar fields, so place trees and plants accordingly.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

I mean when making each area, think of the climate and then choose what to make there based off of that.

That'll work with trees and possibly other plants, at least. Temperature doesn't matter at all with rocks, probably because caves don't have temperatures either. In any case, magma is liquid toffee.

Suggestion*: give kobolds pie launchers that fire harmless pies.
The flying xiron strawberry piex strikes you in the face.
It is hilarious!

I left "ITEMCORPSE" open because I wouldn't know the tags of any appropriate candy goodies.  The buck teeth are optional, but it gives the chance that you can smash his teeth so he can't bite.

Was it really necessary to make an entire body set for bunnies? You could have just made a quadruped, rename some parts, and add buck teeth.

Needed something that stood on its hind legs (humanoid), and carried an eggbasket, so the right hand is useless.

EDIT: Oh, you might want to add the [MALE] tag, so you don't end up with any female Mr. Rabbits.

Okay, it seems three versions of candyland are essentially evolving: mine, Novocain's and PenguinOfHonor's (though I think both I and Novocain can integrate Penguin's stuff). I really like that this is turning out to be a community effort.

I'll be writing in the following creatures today: ice princess, elephant fairy, gummy bear, cuddlebear, fuzzum-buzzard, pony, (giant) sheepie, (giant) otter, (giant) seal, (giant) bunny, (giant) piggy
Hope nobody else is doing them.

I'll mention what I've got in my mod right now: plants (which are compatible with the other two candylands), trees (again, compatible), and the other matgloss files (sadly incompatible with novocain's mod).

I also have the following, simplistic metal system in place:
Metals: White Chocolate (WC) (makes poor weapons/armor, but is expensive)
Brown Chocolate (BC) (makes good weapons/armor)
Chocolat Noir (CN) (makes very good weapons and good armor, very expensive)
CN can be made from BC and flux.
BC can be used with cream to make WC.

The three types of chocolate can be blended together to make "blended chocolate".

Cream (can be used in making white chocolate, whipped cream and clotted cream)
Whipped Cream, made in high quantities from flux and cream, is good for  medium-cost furniture.
Clotted cream (excellent armor) can be made from cream.

Love sugar (yep, that's a metal; it makes excellent weapons and good armor)
Rainbow sugar (made from love sugar, can be turned into lots and lots of cocaine at the smelter)

Fuel: Fairy droppings, love sugar, rainbow sugar and starburst can be used to make variable quantities of cocaine (coke), which serves as fuel.

I figured that this metal system makes every type of metal important for one purpose or another, and encourages you to use all metals.

Let me post the plants I've done so far. They've been carefully balanced in an attempt to make them all worthwhile for one purpose or another; muffin tops can be eaten raw and grow all year long, for instance, but yield only one harvest per season.

Nifty.

Anyone have any idea how to modify ingame messages? I've located all of the files, and plan on altering them to be more candy-appropriate, but most of the announcements are in something I can't seem to decode. I'll try to piece the language together, but if anyone already knows an easy way to modify it, I'd be grateful.

Edit: They seem to be compressed or something. At least, I can't seem to piece together any sort of character-to-character relationship yet.

Edit 2: There are actually a large number of detail strings locked up in the game .exe itself... I'll see what I can modify for the sake of deliciousness.

Right now, all I think you can modify are prefstrings and creature attacks.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Ah, so you're actually integrating mine? Neat, then. I have some stone, but I don't think I'll submit most of it because I made all the temperatures under the assumption that magma was temperature ~11400 instead of ~12400.

I had replaced obsidian with cinnamon, if you need any ideas.

Also, I have some gems if you need any:

code:
[MATGLOSS_STONE:CANDY_ROCK]
[TILE:'*'][GEM:rock candy:rock candy crystals][COLOR:7:7:1][GLASS][VALUE:3]
[ENVIRONMENT:ALL_STONE:CLUSTER_SMALL:100]

[ENVIRONMENT:SEDIMENTARY:CLUSTER_SMALL:75]

[MATGLOSS_STONE:JELLY_BEAN_CLUSTER_LEMON]
[TILE:34][GEM:lemon jelly bean crystal:STP][COLOR:6:7:1][VALUE:3]
[ENVIRONMENT:SEDIMENTARY:CLUSTER_SMALL:75]
[ENVIRONMENT:IGNEOUS_INTRUSIVE:CLUSTER_SMALL:75]

And some more of the animals I put in:

We need to get some people with fast computers to do testing, while several people inegrate all of the codes people are making - testing it in batches. Then we need people to right some raws--- which we already have.
