Nonstandard weapons in DF mode.

I'm using a nonstandard race for fort mode.  They have bows in their entity entry, but I cannot assign bow skill at embarks or tell them to use bows in the weapons menu on the military screen.

Are these portions hard-coded or is there a way to get DF to use other skills?

I've been unable to get custom races to use anything other than crossbows in DF mode. I think immigrants can show up with regular bows, but you can only assign crossbows.

It's hardcoded.  Really there's no way to fit anything more on the weapons screen the way it is now anyway.

The "more" that's supported by the game is daggers and bows. I don't see a problem with making a "bow" that uses the Xbow skill (in fact I did it for the MA mod), and a dagger is just a small sword.

There's also the "Pike" skill, but those are just big spears, I think.
