Making some fun things, need advice.
« on: February 19, 2008, 09:07:00 am »

I'm going to add some bad-ass things to my game (giant robots, goblin mechs, twilight wraiths).

1) Is there any way to make the wraiths weaker in the day? I know I could just make it so they only appear at twilight, but it'd be nice to be able to slaughter the annoying enemies who kick my ass in twilight.

2) Is there any way to make them take extra damage from fire?

3) Can I make them breathe a different-coloured fire? (blue instead of red).

Thanks in advance

To take extra damage from fire, and to be at a disadvantage at day (sort of), you could use HEATDAM_POINT. Pick a very specific amount of temperature, and then the creature will take a bit more damage from heat, and the high temperature at day will make the creature take damage continuously. As for the fire, nope. Hard-coded.
