Nostalgia Fortress - Skeletal Elephants? Of course!
« on: March 12, 2008, 09:42:00 am »

So for those of you who want a bit of nostalgia im starting a new fortress. In 23a!!!.

DWARVES WANTED!!!
Seven stout hearted dwarves wanted for an expedition to this location:

All dwarves must bring 100* or 100* worth of goods or training
Enquire within.

I stepped back and admired my handy work. Then opening the door I went inside and drew up a list waiting for the first dwarf to arrive

Dwarves|Skills|Equiment|Money
Me | None | Iron Pick Enough Food For The Journey | None
Vugor |Skilled Miner Skilled Mason| 14 Turtles 10 Dwarven Beer| None
Sgt. Pepper |Skilled Woodcutter Axedwarf Novice shield user Novice armour user|None| 53*
Stuckos |Novice Bonecarver|47 Turtles|1*
Terona |Grower Brewer|1 Dwarven Beer 6 Dwarven Ale 10 Plump Helmet Spawn 5 Sweet Pod Seeds 3 Pig Tail Seeds| 46*
Ibzuth|Proficient Mechanic Skilled Engineer| 5 Sweet Pod Seeds 1 Live Turtle 1 Copper Cage 6 Dwarven Wine|None
Jayfrin | Weaponsmith Armoursmith Metalsmith|None|67*

After collecting together our funds I headed out to the market and after some haggling managed to purchase a splendid iron axe with which Sgt. Pepper would be able to hew trees and elephant alike, as well as some rum three dogs and some meat. The dogs will help defend us and look very tasty.

Ok you each get a hundred points to spend, first come first served seventh player can claim the blacksmith later immigrants can also be claimed, if you have claimed a dwarf you can suggest things for me to do if a suggestion gets enough support ill try to do it. I may not have much time to spend on this with school and everything so bear with me if i dont give you many updates.

Nice idea!

I would like a Grower/Brewer. You may distribute the skills as you like and give me a few ration of booze and a few seeds to work with.

And then donate the remaining points towards the axe.  :)

Name: Teron (Terona if female)
Gender: no preference

Whatever fits the "plan". As long as he/she grews plants and brews booze its fine.  ;)

If at all possible, name him Ibzuth.

Skills go into mechanics (or engineering, I forget what it was called back then), and if you've got some extra to spare, siege engineering.

Items include a single turtle.  His pet, which died catastophically on the trip.  He has since gotten over the loss however, and he is now blissfully designing new and complex trap systems.

Put the rest towards that axe, and if you've got any leftover buy some sweet pod seeds.

If there's a gender conflict, lemme know so I can change the character.

Hmm.  Can I buy another point in Siege engineering?  Then you can do as you wish with the rest.

But if I can't exceed the 100 skill limit, then I'll take a cage.  If not a cage, then some wood (if you can buy that in this version).
