It uses two searches and it stores by 'last viewed', one searches the title/heading the other searches the URL. It kicks out the result according to the date the page was last viewed.

At least that's what my experimenting with it has led me to believe, I could be entirely wrong however. :P


On an unrelated note, I really don't like these smilies :(

I'm not sure if Toady'll read this thread...  But I have a neat suggestion for an SMF modder(perhaps it's already there...  But meh).  I don't even know if it's possible, but sometimes I would like to "watch" threads that I haven't posted in, and other times, I would like to "unwatch" certain threads that I have.

Up at the top, there're the links "Show unread posts since your last visit" and "Show new replies to your posts".   It'd be awesome if there was another link: "Show new posts to your watched threads".  Basically you'd mark a thread as watched, then the link would bring you to a page much like the other two, but based on the threads you're watching instead of posts you haven't read; or threads you've posted to.

^ I think Janus (I think his name is) is a better candidate to speak with than Toady, Janus is the one doing most web work. Also, if you can find an already existing SMF plugin and link to it then there is a greater chance of your suggestion being realised.

Yes, I love the Darkling theme!  Judging by the number of people using it vs how much it rocks, I'd say it needs some more promotion...

Default, default, classic YaBB, and Babylon.

Based on usages, we have 140 active accounts (139 on Darkling) and 4597 accounts that are either inactive, or in use by people who have either not found the forum layout change button, or prefer the SMF Default theme.
