I do sometimes use the regional prospector, but generally so I know I have what I want.
Half the time the stuff is very hard to get at, for example, I have a fort at the top of a mountain, and the magma is at the base of it on the other corner.

The only time I ever cheated was editing in the ability to make black bronze from nothing. (I wanted to make a sick looking fort for my adventurer.)

I used revealer once.  And now I feel terribly about it.  I've been trying to let my fort die for at least 3 weeks, but I keep having to start over, because Windows XP 64bit edition leaves a bad taste in DF's mouth, apparently(Every time it saves, it corrupts the save.  I can't even save a world once it's been gen'd.  I should probably report this, huh?)

Anyway...  What's DF Manager all about?  Would it be considered cheating?
