[39a?] Dwarves die of dehydration while sleeping too long.

It's ridiculous, this has never happened to me before. When my fortress is still very young, only 7 dwarves, and they go to sleep for their FIRST time, they all sleep for so damn long that they die of dehydration and hunger. Is this normal? They've got bedrooms and everything. I thought dwarves woke up to drink when they were thirsty, but that seems to not be the case.

This is happening to me too.

MY dwarves arrived, hollowed out a cave, moved stuff inside, were banded together to kill a cougar, then a short while later, much earlier than normal all went to sleep.. they're still sleeping, soon they'll never wake up  :(

Edit: In case it's relevant, I got a warning about there ebing salt water when setting up this fortress.

Happened to me too. They slept from early spring to late spring/early summer. They never woke up. They died at the same time.

I'm getting this too, I haven't played the game for many months so I thought I just forgot how long they sleep, but they're all laying in bed starving to death.

I think I know why it's happening, but I have to sleep now.  I'll get a new one up tomorrow at some point.  So, mess with the world gen/legends and stuff, but don't play dwarf mode.  Collect the other nasty bugs and I'll try to get a quick patch together.

I suppose a temporary fix would be to go to the raws and add [NO_SLEEP] to the dwarves.

You'd have to do it before they go to sleep...maybe before the world is generated?
I added the NO_SLEEP tag behind the diurnal tag, but they are still choking on poisonapples.
