....Back on topic, this also happens to dwarves resting from sparring injuries.

In version 39b or 39a? 'Cause the oversleeping issue has been solved. It's just that, at the moment, nobody seems to be able to bring water to resting dwarves, which is another bug altogether. Theres a thread somewhere around here.

The oversleeping bug isn't solved, just one symptom of the changes are. I just lost an elite wrestler in 39b to a minor finger wound when he decided to rest from his injuries, and never woke up (remained unconscious forever, and thus food/water couldn't be brought).

Ignore this.  I can now see the image in your post.  Previously I had to follow the URL to some site that insisted I install some "Skitch" plugin to view the image.

I actually still have htis issue, and i downloaded the .40d game.  I recently drafted my miners to fight off a titan, and when he died, i undrafted them. now they seem to be unable to awaken, and are simply just sit there. okay, lay there, sleeping. i had it happen to a crossbowdwarf as well. he eventually died, (i dunno from what, but htere was a trail of blood in the room*

Firstly I dnt think its wise to necrotise such a old dead thread.

Secondly my thought on your current prediciment are is it possible they are all so injured they cant move? If all of your dwarfs are disabled no one will be bale to bring them water or drag them to a bed.

well, i did a search, and this is the thread i found.  They were working fine until I drafted them for a titan attack, but he was brought down by my crossbow dwarves. i took them off of emergency draft, and that was the end of it. they're asleep in the barracks now.

Well, if it happened in .40d, I'd make a new thread. This may be a different issue, and it would be prudent to bring it to Toady's attention.
