DWAAARF FORTRESS!

Clearly I missed something epic during my absence.  What thread is this from?

Well looks like toady put up a warning on the main page about this.  Sadly we'll never see him again as he wanted to SLEEP before fixing this.

Reasonableman has always done that as far as I can tell, but I'm not sure why.  I thought it was kinda funny at first, but now I try to ignore it because it's gotten irritating to me ... (grammar nazi)

Actually, the origin of my obsessive misspelling is even more obscure than that. You see, when I first re-discovered the game (about a year after I first found it, when 3-d was new and exciting, that is, I re-discovered it shortly after 3-d came out,) I described the game to my friends with such over-exuberance that I insisted on spelling it with a few extra 'a's and in all capital letters. The over-exuberance has yet to abate, so I continue to spell it as I do out of sheer obsession with DWAAARF FORTRESS's greatness. That help?

That explains that.  I just assumed it was in reference to some goldmine of a thread or other.

I may have to start posting this explanation every time I do that.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Nobody ever said that.  But you don't stand up in a restaurant and proclaim to the entire place that you ABSOLUTELY LOVE this pudding, do you?

I did that once, for a baked potato that was that good. They brought me another. For free.

HOLY CRAP. I wish I had known this sooner.

"GODDAMN, THIS IS SOME FREAKING GREAT CAKE! OHMYGODTHISISFANTAAAAAASTIC!!!"

They'd catch on eventually, so I'd have to rotate restaurants.

Well, since my love for pudding comes nowhere close to the amount of excitement I feel every time I even mention DWAAARF FORTRESS, I feel your analogy doesn't quite apply. Still, I hadn't a clue that it actually bothered anyone. Now I have even more reason to do it.

For that name, you're not being very reasonable. ;)
