Here are links to that 128x128 tileset on DFFD. It's unfinished and, left to me, will remain so. Do with it as you please.

Why is it 128x128? Isnt this looks like the same in-game if it would be a 32x32 tileset? sorry if the question is retarded, but I dont get it why is it 128x128.  ;D

I heard of someone changing Ö to O and replacing every occurance they could find in the raws.
Unfortunately, the menus are not all changeable, which bodes ill for crazy modders and foreign language porters alike.

Also, after seeing this in dev_now, I would have started a "Toady is God" thread, but some beat me to it, on account of the last release.

This is the update I have been waiting for since I first started playing DF.  I've wanted this more than separate tilesets for Text/Graphics.

Who would have thought that DF would be the game to get me to buy a new monitor?  1600x1200 just won't cut it anymore!

Furthermore, the thought of 100x75 is nice, but I'm admittedly drawn to the concept of a 24x24 tileset/graphics pack.  Granted, I'd then be limited to 66x50, but it'd be real purdy.

Also, in case it wasn't evident in the above post, HOLY SHIT EXPANDED VIEW!!!!!111!1!!

We need to get a list of "square" resolution/screen size combos up on the wiki in anticipation for this.  That way we won't have a whole bunch of confused people when the release comes... well, not as many.

Wow, awesome improvement! Thank you Toady!

A question for the tileset experts: will this allow using 16x16 (or 32x32, etc) tiles on a 1024x768 display?

I suppose, but they'd get the rectangle shape they have now.

Hey guys, I really did end up making a 5x5 today. I didn't think my lazy ass would have been up to it. Hope it becomes more useful after the next release! The top pic is Abeyverse of course.

Meh. 5x5 is easy(er). There's even a 4x5 on the wiki. I made a 4x4. Don't expect to see anything. >.< ... x_x

Perfect for really small cellphones though. :P

Or fitting an entire 4x4 map on one 1280x800 screen...

With this expanded view, is it expected that FPS will become even more of a problem?

These recent improvements are encouraging me to start working on my own tileset. However, I'm not sure what the limitations are. Would something like this be displayable?:

Also, will we be able to make graphics larger than 32*32 pixels? My artistic vision is severely limited by this small size. I reckon that 64*64 would be ideal for me.

nice dwarf. i dont see a problem with 64x64 tiles, other than that you get a very limited amount of tiles on screen, unless you have insanely high windows resolution. maybe try 48x48?
