Dwarf Fortress 0.28.181.40c Released
« on: August 21, 2008, 07:14:06 am »

Download (Click refresh on your browser if it doesn't show up)

Another one.  The partial print for graphics has been changed to a default-no init option, so if you weren't having display trouble and had a better framerate, you should turn it on.  It's in data/init/init.txt and it's called "PARTIAL_PRINT".  It'll probably take a while to resolve issues for everyone else.

NOTE: This was originally 40b and the first few posts refer to that and an error that I hope is fixed now.

Minor Changes:
(*) added an init option for partial screen refreshes (defaults to off)
   (*) added windowed/fullscreen grid sizes

Bug Fixes:
(*) stopped designation cursor from leaving a trail when the minimap is updating
(*) fixed reclaim crash from units holding multigrasp clothing
(*) fixed lockup for glassmaker moods where the glassmaker doesn't like glass
(*) handled some other potential multigrasp inventory indexing issues
(*) fixed problem potentially capping caravan wagon number at 2
(*) handled new forbid orders vs. butchery, severs and sever-drops
(*) fixed problem with delay on up digging tasks
(*) fixed problem causing single tile mountain civs from using feature plants
(*) fixed wagon occupancy problem leaving behind flags that stopped construction
(*) stopped reclaim from creating a second site at the spot
(*) stopped dirt road construction at glacier/stone interface
(*) fixed problem with map export and flashing job markers

Sweet, I can drop my DF on another desktop and still be able to see it when I come back!

Also,
(*) fixed problem causing single tile mountain civs from using feature plants

What does that mean?

Also, also, second post =P

If a dwarf city was on a single-world-map-tile mountain range, it wasn't dipping into the cave river/pool plant populations properly for embark/caravans.  So if that was the only dwarf city for your civ, you were very constrained during play.

Third post.

If I have PARTIAL_PRINT set to YES, it only displays tiles that refresh. In other words, everything is black, and when I (for example) move between list items, the item I moved from and the item I move to flash gray and white (respectively), then go back to being black.
This also makes the opening movie(s) look seizure-inducing.
(note: There were no problems like this in 40a)

It's always something.  At least it's not the default option now.

Okay, that'll be fixed for next time.  I have some coffee, and I should put a new one up in some hours.  I'm going to look at map export for a bit.  Let me know if anything else is broken.

It allows webs to float (it helps GCS ambush webs look better).  Though it is a super-traveler to have attained that location in the first place.

Well, it happens in normal spiders.

All right, the window of opportunity on 40c has closed.  If this was too much caffeine there might be a 40d.  This one should be ready in a little more than an hour.

40c is up.  And so am I...  the caffeine is still going.  I'll probably go to the bank in an hour or so, since it's a fortunate day that I'm up when a bank is open.

I don't think the bank is open yet.  I shall continue to bide my time.

The hours have been verified online, and they coincide roughly now with the walking distance.  I'm off.  Let me know if you find any super troubles in the meantime, and I might be able to put another one up before I get tired.
