Wow. You are right. I had never noticed the "vomit disappearing" text before.

Ok. I have a new thing I just discovered: you can swim UP waterfalls, if you are both speedy, and clever.
Dude... that's awesome!

Unless the water fallin is 7 deep, you can't get the second z level.
:( 7 z level drops only happen with fancy player-made traps.

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.

My adventurer and his ragtag bunch of companions burst into a night creature consorts den, startling the fiend and disturbing a nest of  large roaches. A vicious fight ensued with the consort charging about and knocking down her foes while roaches desperately scuttled back and forth along the sandy floor. Eventually the consort was dispossessed of its legs before its arms and then finally its wretched life. As the companions took stock of their wounds I investigated the scene and found many dead cockroaches on the ground where the battle had raged. They had been trampled during the fight.

It's been a while since a new version so there's less chance for veterans to notice things for the first time, and the topic was buried away from the eyes of newer players till now. There should be lots of material in the upcoming release, though.

In adventure mode your own character can cry.  But we do not notice unless we closely examine our inventories, and it does not stop them from doing horrible things.

It is confirmed, we are uncaring gods/goddesses taking complete control over some poor sap.  They see everything we make them do, they feel everything.  They watch under no control as we mercilessly butcher their neighbors and friends.  They cannot scream, all they can do is silently weep as the puppetmaster makes their arm swing the sword.

This explains why my retired adventurer tried to fight a dragon... She just could not take what I made her do..

Or... you know, they react to the pain of all the cuts and bruises?

Greiger's is actually correct...  sadly enough.  The emotional circumstance processor is still turned on, with a randomly rolled up personality, but they can't express themselves or take control...  they can only cry.

Damn. Somebody should make an acoustic cover of 'One' and put it as an Adventurer mode background song.
