Cleaning forbidden traps
« on: September 20, 2008, 01:12:02 pm »

The "Clean traps" job doesn't fire if the components of the trap were forbidden before the trap is triggered.

This is good, and reasonably expected behavior.

However, if the components of the trap are forbidden after it is triggered, the job is not canceled.

That is unexpected behavior.

Moreover, it leads to the death of nobles and idle dwarves.

I think it's worth calling this issue a bug.

Just curious, how does it lead to deaths?

e: oh, because there's more goblins standing around the jammed trap and they kill whoever comes to clean it?

I think this has to do with the whole 'once a job has started, nothing will stop it' bit.  Which could be considered a bug.  Aka, a hunter, who starts hunting, can have the hunting profession removed, and will still finish the hunt.

Yeah, I think there are still several instance where interface changes don't result in an update.  I suppose I should start writing more of them down.
