Diplomacy (game) sign up

We want to run Diplomacy in the forums. It would be nice to have 7 players, and a way to play without a GM (whose inly purpose would be to collect the PMs and to update the board, so it's not very fun). Tell us what you think.

Sign me up for germany. BotG is currently running so slow, might as well look left and right.

However I wonder how we can play a game that requires a GM to collect moves and then put them into motion simultanously without a gm. clearify your plans please.

I have never played it before, but it sounds interesting. Could I join? Is the UK an option?

I don't have time to think about Diplomacy or I'd join.  Also, I suggest you randomize the country selection, since the game is definitely not balanced.

Various play-by-internet/email systems are out there (though I've never used them myself); check out diplom.org for a start.

Also we are currently going with PHPDiplomacy, does anyone have any objections/suggestions?

I'd totally join this, if I could have my old nationstate or Switzerland. And if it didn't seem to be so much work. I might occasionally follow this thread, I suppose.
