DF-related comic compilation
« on: September 30, 2008, 04:22:24 pm »

I was interested in finding a definitive list of all the comics, sufficiently funny drawings, etc. people have done based on DF.

So far, I have striketheearth.com, those two comics on one site about cat overpopulation and cage-moving...I forget what else. And then of course the "one bad mother" pic.

Well, Gone with the Blastwave is about stupidity, violence, and the futility of life, so it sort of counts. I'm sure you've already seen it, though.

Here's a couple. http://www.striketheearth.com/

I like these ones, personally. I don't know of any other sites dedicated to DF comics; all the other comics I know about are just randomly drawn.

I think that's the one I talked about with the kitten overpopulation.

I know there were others - can't remember though.

I kinda wish there was a regularly updating Dwarf Fortress related Comic...

"Strike The Earth" doesn't update enough for me...

If I could draw well enough, was funny, don't procrastinate like mad, and could host... I would

To prove I am not funny... here is my idea for a comic

"Dwarven Dueling"

Two Dwarves are fighting with large dangerous swords

One dwarf gets a slight cut on his finger and cries

He goes to rest for months and becomes REALLY fat and obese eating Potato Chips and watching television

Then rolls over the one that hurt him.

(Insert comic here)
Fairly funny, but the order of the speech bubbles was a little hard to follow.

I remember there was a comic somewhere about carp and zombie carp and flooding the river with magma... I can't find it right now, though.

I just remembered another one involving battlefield-sock-death-syndrome where the goblins locate the fort entrance by mowing down all the dwarves that come for socks....

Anybody who knows the links to these, link 'em please.

Lots there. The image on the top right of the page sums up the game.

That picture at the top sums up the game rather nicely.
