Barrels and reserves
« on: October 06, 2008, 06:03:48 pm »

I've heard from some people that you can reserve barrels for use only with booze.  Is that true, and if so, how do you do it?

The only thing I know of to do when i see the message that there are no empty barrels is to make more.  >.<

You do so from the Stock(p)iles menu.

I couldn't tell ya, unless you had some really fancy Masterpeice Platinum bins you wanted to trade to the next caravan, and you didn't wanna fill it full of stuff first.

That's... about the only thing I can think of.

Bins tend to default to the furniture stockpile first. Reserving bins for the finnished goods stockpile will send bins there first  so you can fill them with all your stone crafts :3

....They just refuse to stay down unless butchered, in which case their skins will haunt you until you subdue and tan them. Never has legendary butcher and legendary tanner seemed so valueable as in this release.

Then you just turn off bins in the furniture stockpile.

You cannot reserve bins for the finished goods stockpile.  Reserving bins would have them sent to a furniture stockpile, and then NEVER sent to the finished goods stockpile to be filled.
