...and it is! lol, i kept seeing my dwarves heading up the back doorway, bringing back goblin corpses. i wondered where they were coming from. OH the weapon trap 1-shotted an entire ambush party, and it doesn't bring up the ambush alarm! lol...

I can just imagine each goblin watching the flashng blades as their companion in front gets ludicrously gibbed just walking forward in aw, whispering, "it's so... damn... beautiful.."

I had a bed. Made out of platinum. It used 2 bars and was worth 96k. The guy who made it slept like a king.

No it isn't! It has to go into the lever that the nobles flip to die. And it's exclusive to only the pregnant consorts/escorts. With a name like that, you can't do anything else!

A quick scan of the stocks menu shows that one of the dead pack animals has a bin full of silk cloth!  It is speedily unforbidden, and my moody glassmaker sprints off to retrieve his prize amongst the smoking, charred, blood-soaked ruin that is the outdoors, totally oblivious to the carnage that was instigated on his behalf.

I want one of my dwarves to go into a fell mood and make something out of every other dwarf in the mountain

Or for some one to make something out of their husband/wife/child/parent

You should go get that corkscrew in adventure mode and use it as your primary weapon.

I had an incredibly boring fort for a while. Eventually I got an artifact cabinet with pictures of squares on it or something... soon afterwards I got another artifact cabinet, with a picture of the first artifact cabinet on it. It was a boring fort.

In my last fort on a map with no trees the very first artifact is this garbage:

At that point I had some 10 logs total and a severe barrel shortage. And this genius dump 3 logs on a CUP. Possessed, so no skill boost. Not that a woodcrafter on a desert map would have been of any use, but still. Happened in the second spring, so nothing fancy is ready to dispose of the idiot. I just sent him carp-fishing.

Then my original stonecrafter/armorer gets a fey mood. He's already a legendary stonecrafter, so I'm hoping for an armor artifact. Nope:

He's my main source of income, so no carps for him.

And then finally they start doing some good stuff. This actually is my most valuable artifact ever. Crap skill boost, but a golden scepter is pretty cool:

Promptly followed by a nice glove:

My favorite was a seriously badass silver spear with all sort of bones slapped on it and a very cool name, worth some 120k. No screenshot of that  :(

An otherwise unremarkable amulet, but with a name that sums up my dwarfly philosophy: Workmurders the Weak Temptation.
