+1 Dwarf Kudos to you sir. A very servicable Steel Battleaxe with a wonderous name. Use it, love it.

My clothier made a pair of braies with an image of prickleberries in platinum. Reading the wiki, dwarves don't even wear braies. So, in effect, he made a pair of platinum underpants that don't fit anybody; way to go Urist McClothier.

I just got an awesome steel earring. It menaces with spikes of steel, iron, hematite, limonite, magnetite, picture jasper, cave lobster shell, star sapphire, star ruby and orthoclase. It also has hanging rings of steel, hematite and a couple of other low-quality gems.

It single-handedly quadrupled my fortress wealth thanks to two super-rare gems (only two on the entire map i think, unless there's some diamonds in the gabbro layers to the east.)

Actually, dwarves will wear any clothes in their sizes, I think, just only make the ones in their lists, so wearable.

Regadless, they won't wear artifact clothing unless it is armor.  Even then only hero/champions will.

You need to make said elf leather into the most amazing work of art.  Embed it with every kind of gem you have, stud it with metals, and sew images into it.  Erect a shrine outside your fort with that in the center.  Let the elves know that you view their very skin as naught more but a medium for your dwarves to work on.

An obsidian bed.

Nomalvesh Etest Nobot, aka "Staffdusts the  Duty of Spurning"

Obsidian w/ obsidian (x3), turtle shell & cave spider silk (18k)

"Staff dusts"? "Duty of Spurning"?  Gotta give this to some married couple.

it still shows up in different decorations and artifacts and such. i tried searching it by reclaiming the old fortress (theateruttered) but couldnt find it in the stocks menu after setting a dwarf behind a desk to work up the records. could it be stolen? hm. since i cant show a picture of the description, here it is, engraved on a turtle shell bracelet :D

This one:

rules for name alone.  The pink boot on it is almost as sexy as the iron spikes.

One of my miners (I hate mining as a moodable skill, it sucks) made a magnetite bed worth about 24000. At least I can use it to make my mayor's bedroom very valuable, since my housing levels are in the tower pleasing the nobles will require more than just a legendary engraver.

Not a very special item... Only worth 8800☼, but the artwork makes it all right. The White Keys are my civilization, while The Lions of Esteeming were a bunch of Elves.

It also explains how it was possible for the liaison for the Mountainhomes to be a female Elf. I like to order extra amounts of Towercap Wood just to piss her off. :D
