Yes, but this is Elona.

It might be a case of "the rabbit done died".

Started a new file, since all my old/cool ones got asploded when my computer died around Christmas.

...I have questions.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

What's that emblem next to Two Hand improvement?  I don't remember seeing it before ever.

Also, what're these recipes I see in the magic shop?  There're two called "3 artifact fusion" and a "custom" one, but I don't remember ever hearing or seeing anything about them.  Apparently buying them was enough to send me from level 2 to 3, though - I seriously hit 2 a couple steps from the shop, and then I ding'd again when I left.

...I have questions.

I've been wondering about that emblem myself.
As for the fusion stuff, it takes a frying pan for testing to use those things, they seem to be placeholders for the new craft system that's being worked on. artifact fusion stuff takes 999 alchemy, so you're not really going to use it.

also, the leveling is because, if you have a skill related to an action, any action using it can get you experience.
in this case, it'd be negotiation(or something with a similar name.), you buy something, it hits your negotation skill and trains it slightly (that seems to take more and more expensive purchases over time for a return.) and awards you experience.

Of course, I could also be wrong.

The emblems mean that those effects will be passed on during a 2 or 3 artifact fusion attempt. If you drop the artifact and pick it up, the emblems will move around.

Artifact fusion does work somewhat in this version, but there are a few kinks left. Not to mention the 999 alchemy requirement.

"9" = Page Up = Northeast Movement
"3" = Page Down = Southeast Movement
"7" = Home = Northwest Movement
"1" = End = Southwest Movement

And cursor keys. That should work.

Thanks guise.

I know buying stuff will give you exp, but I wasn't expecting it to give me a whole level's worth.  It wasn't that big a purchase either - three items, at about 1K each.

The game supports joypads. I plugged in my Manta, configured the keys and now I'm playing this weird as hell Rouguelike/jRPG fusion.

It rules.

Anyone beat the main quest and chaos forts without wizard mode or exploits? I still can't manage it. Oh and finally tried Elona Shooter... that game is a lot of fun. Finally beat the 100 days HC mode. Hope Elona gets developed more in the future.

There's cheats for this?!

And I've been resorting to memory hacking like a sucker...
