Mac's Kobold Quest not working
« on: December 30, 2007, 12:28:00 pm »

When I run kobold quest on my mac, it just displays a black sreen. Nothing happens. Is it because I'm using a power-pc, and not an intel based mac?

Yeah, I think that's it, though I'm the last person to ask...  I *think* I've got some code now that will fix the black screen problem for OS X 10.3+, and I should get the up around Monday.

Here's the main thread.

Has anyone with an Intel Mac tried out the Kobold Quest port?

While Toady is looking at making the ported code work with DF, I have a few things to look at on the KQ side...  but we'd definitely like to see the reports of other folks trying it on the Mac. Things that feel wrong, bugs, etc.  While it won't be a "proper" Mac app... I'd like to make it as friendly and sturdy as possible.

Anyone?

I tried KQ (kobquest_103mac) on my PPC G4 with OSX 10.3.9
I get an windowed screen for a second, and then it vanishes, replaced by a message that reads "The application Kobold Quest has unexpectedly quit"

I didn't actually put up the PowerPC fix yet, although I have no idea if it addresses that problem.  I don't think I'm going to get a chance to get everything together until next Monday now.
