- improved: [m]oving items

Upon using [m]ove command you'll now select items to haul along from
the new item selection dialog which allows smooth and easy selection
of multiple items.
Now, wherever the character moves, selected items will be hauled along.
Depending on weight and number of hauled items there will be fatigue
fatigue accumulation and/or extra time spent upon each turn. Hauling
is stopped and items left on the ground upon using [m]ove command
again.
Well that straight away makes building houses much less frustrating.

Sweet Jesus, yes. As much as I like setting up a homestead in the game, it's also the part I dread the most, knowing how ridiculously tiresome moving all the logs around is going to be.

I always settled right near a river, sea, something to get a boat on to move my logs easily, but hell yes, that's gonna simplify the spam of 'm' needed to make a house.

Indeed. I couldn't think of a way to word it. "First of several donation-incentive versions" was the best I could think of and that sounds silly. It also suggested that donations would be required, so I gave up entirely trying to explain it. People know the deal with the whole donations thing by now, anyway. I think.

I suggest starting a new thread due to lack of OP when 3.16 comes out. I came by here on a fluke just to check out the game after not doing so for half a year. I never would have known about the donation payment switch and thus never have checked the thread otherwise. I'm pretty certain a lot of people would be excited to know that the game is finally free and it'd stir up a lot of activity if people knew.

I don't know about the rest of you, but after 15$ and years of following URW, I'm fucking stoked to hear this. This game needs the exposure the donation-based model brings more of. Not everyone's like me and willing to shell out 5$ for an indie game [per major version] just because the developer rules, but I will be donating since this recent release appears to be rammed full of improved features.

I was getting stoked to pay the $13 or whatever for a block of updates, but that went away. Now I can give more than $3 and less than $35, multiple times, as money becomes available.

Aha. Totally forgot about this. I got one of my rebates back in the form of those damn prepaid AmEx cards. Shove this through paypal or something and I have a donation.

Those predator/prey changes in 3.16 sounds really good, definitely gonna try out the new version whenever it's out.

Yea, it's interesting to see how people saw that. Though maybe bear (and such) should be focused on the human near rather than continue to eat.

Also, someone dedicate himself for the next thread ? I could do it, but I wouldn't deprive someone of making the new thread  :P

Eh, I'll do it if no-one else is planning to. I come around here practically every day, and have done so for the past couple of years, so I'm unlikely to disappear and be unable to update the op.

Edit: New topic was made, find it here.

I finally got a cabin built. Took hours and I eventually just memory hacked to get logs.
