Oh-ho, I see my dwarf is already living up to her namesake.
Ahem.

Woah. Vasily was absolutely amazing, but that guy... daayum...

Ah well, I'm stuck on Stalingrad, and his name seemed like the easiest to feminize.

Hmm, I would like one of the female migrant dwarfs.

Name: Kyterra

Hunter/speardwarf. As for equipment setting's buckler and leather at the highest please. Want to hunt with a spear, so might want to make her one that has agile.

As long as we're going with the "badass snipers" theme, I'll take my first female dwarf and call her Lyudmila

---------------------------------------------
From the Journal of Kate Takegalley:
25th of Slate, Year 10, Outpost Waspurn;

We have grown in size once again. More migrants have arrived at the outpost. A dwarf approached Neo and announced that he would be the new sheriff. With 20 dwarves, we will need the help keeping law and order, so everyone seemed agreeable. Sheriff Apple, with any luck, will not need to do his duty very often.

Shortly after the arrival of these new dwarves, Inaluct charged past the other miners, and claimed the mason's workshop for his own. Possessed by some unknown forces he's now working on a strange project. A few dwarves have set up a betting pool as to what he will make. We have a few more dwarves that I've had the pleasure of meeting. Arminger, Kyterra and Lyudmila, a few of the dwarves crazy enough to join up with the military. Again, I hope we won't need to use them very often.

Well we currently have an excess of dwarves. Vasili is going to become pure military soon, as we need some 'trainers' for the newbies to go against. Everyone will start out with a little wrestling, if for no other reason than to toughen them up a bit. I wouldn't want Gaweir waking up and slaughtering the recruits.

Vasili will become military almost certainly. It really is just a matter of time, and with all of these new migrants we should have no shortage of planters.

Also note we now have 13 males and 9 females available!

If Gaweir happens to heal early (Proof that your decade theory is wrong!), I'd request that you give Arminger to someone else requesting a swordsdwarf, or if even earlier, to anyone who wants a military dwarf. And of course make some excuse that your character got Armingers name wrong. But yeah, anyway, I don't think its fair that I should get two characters, and I only requested the second because...well I kinda took your word for it when you said 'decade(s)'.

From the Journal of Kate Takegalley:
23rd of Felsite, Year 10, Outpost Waspurn;

Don was found in a small channel hungry and thirsty. Noone, not even Don, knows how long he was in there. Apparently he jumped in there after a bad fright from a Leopard. A rescue attempt is now underway. Lucky for him the construction crew that was about to seal him in heard his cries for help before building walls over the channels.

You know in my experience most dwarves don't recover from mangled red wounds within any reasonable amount of time. Who knew your dwarf would be the starfish equivlent of dwarves? It's already down to broken status. I still don't think he'll be better before next year, but yeah. I will likely have to backpedal a few times in this 'journal'.

From the Journal of Kate Takegalley:
1st of Malachite, Year 10, Hamlet Waspurn;

What an exhausting couple of weeks. We had our first human caravan came, and was luckily loaded full of wood! Which we needed as we were short on beds. We now had the lumber to fit everyone with bed. A time to celebrate! But it did not last long as we saw on the horizon, that's right, another set of migrants! Are they relocating the entire freaking mountain homes?

WorkerDrone: I wouldn't worry about having multiple dwarves as we now have over 30 untaken dwarves.

Specifically we have 18 males and 14 females for the taking. One of the males is a child, and there is a married couple in this new migration. I don't suspect that migration is going to slow down any either. So please, adopt a dwarf today.

5th of Galena, Year 10, Hamlet Waspurn;

Today, two dwarves died in a horrible drawbridge accident. A drawbridge crushed Fireheart and Dastot as it raised. Our security measures seem to be working against us. The worst part is that we don't even have the bodies to give a proper tomb to. Despite this, we will dedicate tombs to them as soon as we can.

For those interested the artifact created by Inaluct was a grate.

Did Fireheart even do anything before being crushed?

Gender: Male
Profession: Engraver
Name: Graystripe

Also if it won't go against your plans could Fireheart get a statue of some sort in his tomb as a memorial?

Absolutely to both. He's part of the original seven, as such will get a fully proper tomb.
As for what Fireheart did, while not something that was written about, he was our main mason and produced nearly every piece of of masonry work in the fortress up to now.
