Last month's donation total was the lowest to date.   It is up to us to make this the best Dwarfmas ever.   I propose that on the night of the 24th, DWARFMAS EVE, we flood Toady's paypal account with donations.   It's simple as cake, but sometimes we all need to be reminded that Toady more or less gives us gifts all through the year, essentially being his own cadre of elven toymakers, reindeers, etc. 

This thread is for you, the DF community to earn your way onto the NICE LIST and stand up and say "I am going to make this the best DWARFMAS ever.    And I will do this by giving Toady money."

I will start by pledging to donate at least 20 dollars on the 24th.

(Attention:  Posting in this thread to argue or make excuses for why you're not donating is detrimental to Holiday Cheer, and will get you on the naughty list.)

This is such a sweet thread, got me kind of looking forward to Christmas now so hurray for that.  I'll help make this the best Dwarfmas ever.

Paypal taxes Toady to the tune of 2.9%.  Might I suggest a personal check and Dwarfmus themed greeting card through the post addressed to him instead?  I've sent all my previous donations like that along with a sloppily scribbled note of gratitude.

Thirty Dollars US. It can't be much more... my business has shriveled up rather painfully in recent days.

So that is a few pennies under $319.34 signed up already by my math (including Ghost of a Flea's crazy moon-money). Assuming everyone is using paypal, they take $9.26 out of it. So we have $310.08 going into Toady's pocket. I may choose to use a money order myself for security. That number should multiply a few times as the night wanes on.

But what percentage of the donation meter is filled by forum regulars? I think we may have to look outside of the forum if we are going to have a shot of putting the big man back in the black this Christmas. A DF ad campaign, so to speak.

Toady deserved more than what he got last month. That said, i normally support anything capn'tastic does but this is special and we as the community need to kick this amp up to 11.
