DF DLL/LIB

I was reading a comment about DF's rogue style interface somewhere and this occurred to me. If you could separate DF into a DLL/LIB component and a standard interface component, then all of us bored 3rd party program writers could just make our own interfaces for it without burdening Toady with the trouble of doing it.

Ah yes... one of many epic threads on the interface.  It's a big deal because people care about it enough to make it big.
