What's a tank? (A few images and probably spoilers.)

I've been hearing rumors. I heard those were recruitable characters. I honestly don't know what to make of this. I know guard dogs are recruitable and those are animals. But tanks? What kind of tanks?

Can somebody clear it up?

Kill enough cops and the National Guard will come to attack your bases, bringing battle tanks with them.  The battle tanks are immune to damage and typically kill in one shot, which makes them rather effective in combat.  It used to be that you could convert the tanks to liberalism and recruit them, but that is no longer possible.

The big armored tanks that blow shit up. And I think you can't recruit them anymore.

Tanks were recruitable from Jonathan adding in Guitar conversion to about 3.16 I believe. They were the siege tanks you get when the army raids the base. Even when converted they were invincible and one hit kill with unarmed attacks. Even better you could give them melee weapons and such like and have them use those. Extremely effective fighters against anything with a gun but since they had almost identical heart and wisdom scores from the conversion, very vulnerable to debaters.

Note that current tanks can be killed by either MASSIVE bullet rains, or fire. And you can't recruit them.
