And today's Build Fighters was a nice reminder of how SDs are not to be underestimated since they're able to pull off crazy/silly stuff that the more serious full sized units aren't able to do as easily. I should know considering how many times I've had my butt handed to me by the Ryofu Tallgeese Lu Bu on SDGO. Also that montage of future rivals was great/hilarious.

Just started watching Hitsugi no Chaika. It's nice to have a show that starts with competent protagonists that actually know what the heck they are doing. :) That said the protagonists did get written in a pretty OP ally, but the way that the ally is written it's totally believable to not have them there for the majority of the fights, which means you still get some nice fight scenes instead of just "dur, dur, OP faceroll".

Chaika's pretty good, yeah. I don't really recall any fights that were facerolls, 'cept maybe the unicorn that gets 'sploded in the first episode.

I didn't really like World Embryo because it kept switching genres without without resolving a story arc. I felt its like "then shit happens rendering the past few chapters irrelevant."

So it seems like the Parasyte anime is doing pretty good. Aside from the MC having glasses, it seems to be doing a decent job of sticking to the manga plot.

It serves the same purpose though; just a more modern way to deliver exposition on all the brutal murders. The decision to give the MC glasses sorta puzzles me though, but not enough to make me declare the anime "ruined 4evar".

It might be because the transition to anime form gives the series some issues because of the art shift.

A common one is characters all looking the same.

It is why some animes of mangas where everyone is EXACTLY THE SAME PERSON WITH DIFFERENT HAIR they give them an art lift. :P
