Felids can enchant armour. They can't enchant weapons, because scrolls of enchant weapon require you to wield the thing you're enchanting.

First win with a melee type, MiBr.  Learning when to rage and when to run was a tough thing. Also finding rPois was rough.  Bought a artifact axe in hopes of finding one in a trove.  I finally get lucky and rPois leather armour and clear swamps and get a Swamp Dragon Armor that was my primary armor till I found Pearl Dragon Armour  :D.  I got cast to the Abyss on D27 by a draconian who just happened to have a distortion brand whip.  While in the Abyss I figure I might as well get the rune since I was dominating all the stuff there.  Zot 3 gave me blurry eyes.  Since I didn't want a Zot trap to end my career I head back to my lair stash and grab a potion of corruption and my 3 cures.  I hope I can at least dilute out my list of corruptions to keep a beneficial one (like resist corruption 1 or +2 str).  Since I had 2 extra potions and no top tier mutations I figure I'll give Slime a try.  No shining eyes caught me with my pants down (or with my resist corrosion amulet rather) so I get the rune without any corruption or item destruction.  Orb run was uneventful.  I just run away from any Pan lord I found.

You need to make said elf leather into the most amazing work of art.  Embed it with every kind of gem you have, stud it with metals, and sew images into it.  Erect a shrine outside your fort with that in the center.  Let the elves know that you view their very skin as naught more but a medium for your dwarves to work on.

My question is what the hell a "potion of corruption" is supposed to be.

(Also, more pedantically, berserker is "Be", not "Br")

It sounds like he was using Elona terms. Corruption = mutation (although there are two kinds of "mutation" in Elona), especially as he refers to cures and a list of 'corruptions'.

Sorry, I've played too much ADOM.  In ADOM they are called corruption instead of mutations.

And it is a plot element at that, one required for three of the non-standard endings. :P

Pah. I thought a +0 pair of boots was as bad as the gifts get, but Oka just gave me a -2 cap.

Thanks, god. Really.

Huh, the worst I've ever managed was a +0 Wizard Hat.

I like to believe the most ironic gift I've received, other than Xom's, was a randart crystal plate mail with a large STR malus.

At least it was useful to you. That's a free point (or more with high skill?) of AC, and another slot in case you get hit by acid. I've gotten a -2 pair of boots before, and I'm pretty sure I already had boots at the time.

... That is one useful piece of equipment... If it only that modifier was inverted, it'd have even more AC than the Dragonskin Cloak.

With the addition of reaching, Gnoll packs are some of the most deadly things up until at least D:12. Just got a OgBe with my +4 +6 GSC of rC+ rF+ Orc Slaying killed by a pack of ~5 gnolls on D:9 or D:10. I might be able to rampage through hordes of 20 assorted orc types, but as soon as Gnolls pop up I need to GTFO :P

Promising char, too. Found a wand of healing.
