Hello everyone, just registered to the forum. I started playing DF a few days ago and it is AMAZING. Whoever made this game is a genius. One thing I do wish you'd include is a text version (somewhere) of what your starting inventory and dwarves consist of (skill-wise).  I've tried to mimic what you have in DF2010 video #1, but the points simply don't add up -- I'm left with 60 points, which probably means I'm missing some skills on the dwarves.  All I've been able to discern from the video is:

EDIT #2: Figured it out by downloading DFVIDTUTS2010 play along edition.zip and looking at init\embark_profiles.txt.  Dwarf #5 also is an ADEQUATE teacher (determined by [SKILL:5:TEACHING:2] in the file).  Voila, 44 points.    Yay!

Ah yeah, thats my setup. Especially for the 2010 play along edition i think i made a nice setup. I also made the woodcutterdwarf a teacher since he becomes the military leader, and i think it will help with him training other dwarves. I'll put that in the OP later since ive gotten that question a couple of times.

Also thanks a lot for that donation, it's by far the biggest i've gotten yet. Hell the donations were getting slower, i got like 6 bucks this month but you sure changed that. Thanks man.

I'll try to do a video soon as thanks. I've been taking it easy since toady has been updating a lot lately. But from what i hear 31.08 fixes a lot of things and is pretty playable

Same here! I'm a visual learner, so the videos made it make sense to me far more than written tutorials did.
