Treachery is very different from Trickery.

Not quite, treason can be reffered to as a form of trickery, and trickery can be considered treason.

He tricked me!

He betrayed my trust!

Trickery as treason? So mysteries and good-natured jokes are punished with death?

Not trickery as jokes and mysteries, but trickery as to "trick" someone, which can be considered treachery.

Good Armok, have i turned this thread into a english lesson?

ALE? ARE YOU NOT A PROPER DWARF? EVERYONE KNOWS BEER IS THE OFFICIAL ALCOHOL FOR DWARVES!

Or something. Ah well.

But yeah. Treachery is like a form of trickery. Notice I say "like." =)

Er, huh.

Tricking someone doesn't mean you are betraying them. You might play against their expectations or technically lie or things like that, but "trickery" is generally a benign or at least not explicitly malicious thing. Treachery is, uh, a tad different. Trickery can be playful and not cause any actual conflict or problems, whereas the entire point of treachery is a violation of trust beyond "ha ha I fooled you"; it's more like "ha ha screw our friendship/marriage/allegiance, I want the treasure for myself".

Kizbiz the gully of rams was a deity that most often occurs in the myths of The tools of flight. Kizbiz was most often depicted as a female dwarf and was associated with plants and animals.
I on the other hand depict Kizbiz as an elf wearing a dwarf mask.

My mayor worships a deity known as Nolthag the Hideous Itch, a deity of suicide, death, disease, and blight.  I also like to think it's a deity of PURE ITCHING.  This deity takes the form of a female dwarf, and my mayor is apparently casually interested in his religion.

He is one of a dozen dwarves in the world who worships said deity.

Now if it had been disease or decay, you could argue on the grounds of all the wonderful colors your body can make;

red of blood and rashes,
orange of jaundiced skin,
yellow and green of bile,
blue and purple of bruises.
