BECAUSE DF IS HARD TO PLAY! But easy to get in to.

Gotta say Other, Bug Report as well, even though it wasn't a bug.  Something about dyed bags.

I had already been lurking for a month or so, and decided after I made an account that I may as well be active.  Of course, now I'm on a DF funk, and I haven't posted north of DF General Discussion in weeks.

Because, well... there hardly is anything else i play aside it.
I wanted to get in contact with other DFers since the forum i actually heard about it the first time (xSpore) is dying slowly. Too bad there is no shoutbox.

Huh, my vote's the first for "another game"?

If i recall correctly (that i rarely do.) then i'd skimmed over the forums a few times in the past, due to having discovered LCS, and eventually signed up.

That was a long time ago though, now.

If i'd discovered the forums and dwarf fortress later on however, i'd probably never have signed up, finding the amount of activity at one point, and the sheer number of people to be intimidating.

Sadly I cannot vote for 2...so:
1. Dwarf fortress is the best [freeware] game made, enough said.
2. It looked like a nice place to begin with.

Note: I put the word "freeware" between brackets, because DF is the best game what ever made, even tho that is my subjective opinion.  :)

I joined up in order to make some suggestions. The interesting conversations, advice, and amazing stories were all bonus material.
