I will have to set up cages of goblins in the party hall, so that when the drunken brawls are about to start, i can pull a lever and make sure only POWs get pulverised, either that or put the rum inside the hospital to deal with such occurrences.
..orrr, i could set up an emergency alcohol bailout lever which ejects the rum on declaration of a party, that wouldn't be nice though.

It should be pretty fun though.

I put a one tile booze stockpile in each of my jail "Cells". That way dwarves arent too pissed about being thrown in there. :P

Or, set up the booze stockpile so that it can be flooded and drained as needed...

Sorry, I haven't been keeping up with this topic, but I am trying 40d13 (MacOSX 10.5.7) for the first time now. Please forgive if this has already been reported, but my Designate menu (while narrow) looks like this:


If I hit TAB until the menu is wide, it looks better, more readable, but the keystokes don't line up in a column.

I've already memorized the keys so it's much less upsetting to me. However the glitch involving chop trees and mine are driving me nuts.

Yeah, it's a known issue and is being worked on for the next 40d# mini-release.

You can allow or stop your dwarves from eating these mushrooms, but it's entirely optional and doesn't turn Dwarf Fortress into Dwarf hookah-smoking pad.

They are just pesky hindrances to massive fortress expansion.

At least with the bug, I can now build some up/down airways. Urist has been eating too many plump helmets, and the fortress air down below is worse than dead goblin miasma.

EDIT: Cripes and double apologies. I just realize I posted this completely in the wrong thread. Well then. Back to your elf conservation conversation.
