Thanks for the post Toady. It's interesting to hear that all the planned goals for Df are in simple txt files. XD

Personally I'm planning to put all my rough ideas into one big list in a .doc then as I go on I plan to organize those rough ideas into categories relevant to my project.

I was wondering one more thing:

When you started all this, did you just list a lot of these goals roughly or were most of these ideas discovered over time?

-Thanks, Salbris

Salbris: this isn't in response to anything in particular, but if you want some insight into the history of DF's development, you might find the old Armok 1 dev pages interesting.

After armok 1, did toady start from the ground up for armok 2:DF?

DF originally started out as a side-project, but as more and more fantasy fun was being put into DF, it overtook Armok.

In some regards, but it laid the groundwork for DF in a big way.  Gameplay goals and even some actual code (the combat system, if I'm not mistaken) were carried over.
