I don't get why we have to repeat ourselves so often about stuff like that.

Do people actually read the dev pages/posts before posting stuff?

No, they read the 'suggestions' forum, and apparently don't realise that not absolutely everything in the universe is going into the next version.

Welll, mine would be possible at least with some creative booze bombing or use of fire imps when the dwarves start firing plump helmet.

Yours might be possible.  You could definitely set up dwarves to spit a glob of a special plump helmet material with its ignition point lowered to room temperature.  It's hard to say whether the burningness of that projectile will be handled properly, though.

Hmm, if there's a poison that makes you go berserk, and a poison that causes Necrosis...

You could make a zombie virus!

If that does become possible...I imagine the Zombie mod is going to get a whole lot more interesting!

I wonder if we can add poisons to water pools through some convoluted method?

Now we need a posion that can literally skellify/zombify a creature, exuded by skeletons and zombies. Instead of just rotting away their flesh, you are actually turning them into the undead :D

I think people are just posting what they want to see in the game sometime relatively soon.

Maybe the OP should create a link to Toady's next release dev list in large bolded font?

Done.

I really like the idea of "Resistance in terms of attributes and also developed against specific toxins through exposure." It would be epic if the designated venom and poison handler was immune to all of his death-liquid he has stockpiled.

I wonder what the casualty rates would be, for trying to give your entire fortress a ridiculous tolerance for a lethal poison, and then filling the upper levels with it.

You'd lose some guys who got larger doses during the conditioning phase, and the immigrants would all die, but who cares?

Watching the baron choke on the toxic dust that fills my city will be almost as great as killing goblins, elves, humans and demons with it.

Bonus points if the poison in question in some sort of horrorweapon, akin to VX gas.

Like an epic airlock. Except, instead of air, or a lock, just gaseous death.
