Can I pave my underground canal with roads?

<< < (4/4)

SeigeOps:
From what I've heard, trees have been known to grow on top of muddy constructed floors.
Road however do not get muddy (at least from what I've seen) and therefore will not spawn trees.
Also as the poster above said, it gets your road value up as well.

Lexender:
You should build a gigantic, automatic, incredibly resource consuming system involving a dwarfputer so that, regularly, the canals are drained and drawbridges crush every single thing that is left in every single canal.

Idea: how would sound covering the whole surface with drawbridges and connecting them to a single lever , so that you can annihilate everything, whenever you want?

The Doctor:
A modern Fuck The World?

Time Kitten:
You need to hook it to a time to drop your entire fort down a z level to destroy the bridges afterwords..

Hyndis:
Trees can grow on muddy constructed floors, but they cannot grow on roads since a road is considered to be a building, so that tile is already occupied.

Its also cheaper to build roads than constructed floors, as with a floor it takes 1 material per squad. You can build a little bit more than one square per material for roads.
