Improving Kobolds for Dwarf Mode

Anyone have any ideas? I find it kind of disapointing that Kobolds have NEVER been able to steal anything from any of my fortresses, which makes me sad. I want them to become super thieves or something. How can I do it?

That would make them less squishy, not better thieves. I'm trying to think what to do for the thieving, is there a way to give them a higher ambusher skill? Or maybe being pernaturally quick might help.

Combined with [NOFEAR] and the removal of [FLEEQUICK] this would let them have super speed and not just run away after being discovered.

But wouldn't that just overkill it to the point where it's sort of pointless to try and stop them?

Also, kobold archers will show up if the thieves are successful. 100 speed = total fortress kill.

Then have it be [SPEED:333] so that they are only three times as fast as dwarves or [SPEED:500] so that they are only twice as fast instead of being ten times as fast.
