Considering the times, I don't think humility is an example of intelligence either since society considers it cool to be self-mutilating. Currently, anyway.

Broose: Statistical segregation. We remove the largest known causes of stupidity on the internet to reduce the number of stupidity-based incidents online. As proven by this thread, there's no real way to identify stupidity (IQ tests don't really work, psych tests don't work, etc.), therefore, we commit mass genocide. Since I am no longer a "young person", I merely want to maximize my own profit. Since it won't affect me, I only stand to benefit from a mass purging of youth from the online community. If I were still "young", then it would hurt me of course but thankfully, we know that you can only age in one direction physically. Sure it ain't fair to the young, but I don't care.

Incidentally, I know for a fact that the vast majority of people who will stand up and say that young people are smarter than their elders are the young people. The reason is very obvious. What this means is up to your own interpretation.

I never said that young people are smarter than their elders, that is pretty much the same thing that I'm pissed off about, judging people by age. The only people you can do the 'mass-genocide' thing to are /b/tards, for obvious reasons. And not caring? That is just being an asshole, completely unfair.

I find it hilarious that you seem to think of everybody younger than you as a dumbass. If you are going to judge people by their age, (which is the same as judging them by race, really) then I recommend you remove yourself from society completely, preferably by suicide.

There's a good reason why people of young age are usually assumed to be less reasonable than older ones, and that is their lack of experience. While you might be a smart-alec and be able to crack all those IQ tests in no time, you're still at a disadvantage in most discussions, when compared to an older person.
Since there's hardly a way to tell how exactly intelligent a person is at first glance, but it's rather easy to judge the amount of experience said person accumulated(i.e.how old is he/she), it's perfectly normal for anybody to give every single old geezer more credit than one would give a kid. It's not racism, nor is it in any way comparable to it, and trying to equate these ideas seems just like a desperate defence of your hurt pride. Of course you're free to prove your partners in conversation that you are indeed more reliable/inteligent etc. than anybody else out there, no matter their age.
In fact, respect for old age is what most societies were built upon, though it's largely in decline now, apart from maybe Japan and few other countries.

Did you think I meant smart as in good grades and the such? Not at all. It is usually those types that are stupid, anyways. And there are no good reasons for assuming things about people for things they cannot control.
