Neverlight's Zelda Tile and Graphics Sets
Current Versions:
Tileset: 1.1
Graphics set: 1.2
Download links have version changes.
Screenshots are updated to the newest version.

Several months ago I grew tired of the available tilesets, so I went about making one based almost entirely on Zelda.  I've been using it for quite some time now, and I think it looks good enough that everyone else might want to give it a try.  So, for your enjoyment, here it is:

And I couldn't very well stop at just the tileset, so here is the graphics set to go with it:

Both are still works in progress, although the graphics set has farther to go before it is complete.  Go ahead and try them out, your input is appreciated  :)

And yes, that is the princess with a beard.

I took the liberty of uploading PNGs of the sets.  You'll have a hard time getting downloads without them.  It would be even better if you took some ingame screenshots.

where did you get the zelda sprites from? extracted from a .rom or something? if you could upload those somewhere that'd be cool.

Yeah, the ramps aren't that great.  As I said, I've been using the tileset for a while, so I've become accustomed to them and just stopped noticing.  I'll see what I can do to make it better.

Actually, no roms.  Just screenshots.  Lots and lots and lots of screenshots and sprites that I found from Zelda fansites.  Looking over the tileset again, I see one tile from The Legend of Zelda, one from The Minish Cap, and most of the others are from A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening, with a few from the Oracle games.  The dwarves in the graphics set are based on the dwarven smithies in A Link to the Past, which is also where the font used in the tileset comes from.

I dont know why but this tileset remind me more of Final Fantasy II than Zelda.

Zelda doesn't remind me of the game itself anymore, it reminds me of this. And the set looks nice, going to try.
