Mileage may vary, but such things are extremely useful if, like me, you're occasionally expected to blab knowledgeably about video games and there aren't enough hours in the day to play them all.

That sounds like Yahtzee alright.

He might like DF. I didn't originally think so but he does think games are art and DF fits into that category pretty well.

The 'Explaining Myself' post on that page indicates that he might be looking down the road that inevitably leads to Dwarf Fortress.

Would be interesting to see a video review of Dwarf Fortress in his style, or toss in some references.

We've already had the discussion of handing DF over to Yahtzee and seeing what he thinks with it, but it all falls down time and time again because Dwarf Fortress is not even close to being a complete game.. And then we'd get all upset and start raving on about how it's not complete yet, wait for the next version, and start like sad fanboys when we start making excuses for a game that simply isn't fit to review yet, because it's not even half done. We'd be handing an alpha of a game over to review, and that is a very, very stupid thing to do. What DF now isn't representative of what it's going to be circa 1.0, so there's no point putting it up for review in any form.

But hey, someone want to start a LP on his forums as a form of viral marketing, that's fine. Let's see how long it takes him to slip a DF reference into Zero Punctuation.

I actually just wanted to see how he would respond to boatmurder, of course he wouldn't actually review the game.

Yes, let's not repeat the hurricane in a bottle that was the last Zero Punctuation thread.  Not to blow my own horn, but I sent an email to the effect then, and didn't get so much as an automated reply.  And that was way before he was hired to act in a crappy TV show.

What's this about a crappy TV show? I know about Game Damage but he made that, he wasn't hired to do it. So, what TV show?

I was actually meaning to search for a thread like this, But speak of the devil, heres one now :D

Im expecting that Yahtzee MIGHT review this game, when its done (which will be virtually never) he does create his own freeware games, and therefore may enjoy a game such as this.

from watching his reviews i have seen that this game seems to match his thought proccesses quite well, but, then again, The escapist controls what he review up to a point anyway.

If he DOSENT want to reveiw it, fair play. its not everyones type of game.

It would be funny to see a fort designed by him, though.

Love, jakkarra

P.S Goooooooooooo Blighty! :D

I'm sure that all we care about is how much money he can donate to Toady_One.
