New Weapons, and a few other suggestions...
« on: March 30, 2009, 07:23:59 am »

May I suggest a few new weapons?

-PANCOR Jackhammer, automatic shotgun, hits up to three times, found rarely on CCS bosses

-Sawed off shotgun, less accurate than a shotgun, but can be concealed under clothes (like a pistol), is banned earlier than normal shotguns (C or M)

-Bow, just for the heck of it

-Uzi, weaker version of MP5, cheaper than MP5 and is legal at C gun control

I also suggest re-adding a way to acquire tanks (though it should be horrifically difficult)

Perhaps to mounting weapons on Jeeps (for a hefty price)? (should beef up escapes! )

May I also suggest taxi driving as an illegal fund raising method? You'd need stolen taxi cab and a guy with driving skill and the act raises this skill. Rarely you might be caught and be charge with auto theft. (I say rare since cabs look the same and I assume the LCS changes the plates.)

I always just found it peculiar that the police are always able to pin the crime on you 100 percent of the time. The fact that organized crime rings exist at all without being bombed to hell by the national guard is evidence enough that this is not strictly the case in reality.

Jackhammer: There is no such thing as overkill.

Sawn-off: That might actually be rather useful.

Bow: Will the arrows be greatly overpowered?

Uzi: Meh.

The arrows would have to be liberal, thus laced with a high concentration solution of THC. I also suggest we include blowguns and broken bottles.

The bow is there mostly for novelty, but I'm thinking impossible to conceal, high damage, low armor penetration, no reload nessesary, low accuracy without any skill, and can never be banned. Possibly new "Pro Archer" job...

Uzi because I believe in the US atm, it is possible to buy automatic weapons. However the game lacks any non-military automatic weapons.

the Auto Assault-12 fits better than the PANCOR Jackhammer as:
A)more of them have been made
B) it uses 20 round mags
C)it can shoot high explosive shells(good vs cars/groups)

may be the Sawed off shotgun for M ,Striker shotgun for C and the AA12 at C+

and if you are in the us and state law lets you you can own any gun even a minigun

You have to buy "civilian" versions of automatic weapons that have a limited clip size and cannot use automatic fire. Any automatic weapon is illegal without a permit.

In theory, yes.  But what defines automatic weapons is a tangled issue.

In the US, the law refers to automatic weapons as machine guns, and the term encompasses any "gun that can fire more than one shot with a single pull of the trigger", and any set of parts that can be assembled into a machine gun (eg, a complete AK-47 kit). That's pretty cut-and-dried for LCS purposes -- anything that would fire more than once in a round is only permitted at C+ level. You could have an AK-47 at C level (and indeed, you can have an AK-47 in the US today without a special permit), but it would have to be modified to only fire one shot per round.

It would be pretty useful if Mohammed Qaddafi decided to abandon his commitment to not fund terrorism and sell the LCS a couple of Soviet Tanks.

Also, even though you can only get crappy tanks, they still require a lot of special training to operate and use effectively.
