Need help with armor...
« on: April 03, 2009, 11:44:10 pm »

Ok basically I'm trying to figure out how to make my people wear armor like they would normal clothes without having to tell them to where it in the military section.

I have a feeling I would have to change the armor somehow but I just don't know what to change, anyone wanna help me out here?

Easy!

Change armor's tag [LAYER:ARMOR] to [LAYER:UNDER] or [LAYER:OVER]
Of course, that would mean that there would be no armor.

I'd recommend making something like metal clothes, copying an armor but changing it to clothes.
That would be the safest way.

Last I checked, only dwarves ( or whomever) with hunter job enabled can wear armour without being in military ( and they can carry weapons too ). The only problem would be that they'd all be swarming ANYTHING that steps into map that's not intelligent and carrying weapons.

The clothing systems' a bit bugged if I remembers right, though.

I't ain't bugged, just hard to do.

After you make the clothing also change the entry in entities and put FORCED instead of COMMON..
I think that makes almost 100% of them wearing that thing.

This I have not done and will try next ^_^

EDIT: Ok tried them both out now, neither works together or otherwise.... To test it I embarked on a location to see if my people started out with the armor on but not a bit of it was on them.

Also added in the entity raw to the first post.
