It's a dark night. Nearly silent except for the wind, which picks up every couple of seconds. The rain begins to fall, slowly at first, and then it picks up, until there's torrents of rain falling from the sky.
penguinofhonor, a simple Mechanic, stands outside, missing Frelock. He decides to drown himself in the now overflowing river. Perhaps the lightning may kill him, too, he thought.
After a minute, he feels resistance in the water. Arms appear to be lifting him out. He feels air being pumped into his lungs. He coughs out a lot of water, looking up to see Pandarsenic, the Surgeon.
Covered in rain, A_Fey_Dwarf extends a hand to both of them. Pandarsenic takes it, getting to his feet. At that moment, Mephansteras, a Hunter, runs from behind. He's shouting, but it can't be heard over the rain. A_Fey_Dwarf unsheathes his sword.
Suddenly, A_Fey_Dwarf spins, skewering Pandarsenic through his head. A_Fey_Dwarf raises his leg, pushing penguinofhonor back into the water.
Mephansteras looks on horrified. He cannot help them anymore. Perhaps he can save the others. He runs into the fortress, looking for anyone he can. He finds chaoticjosh conversing with inaluct.
"We have to go. Now!," he shouts at both of them.
The three exit the fortress. Mephansteras tries to explain, but he can't raise his voice above the storm. chaoticjosh and inaluct both have confused looks on their face.
After a minute, Mephansteras feels as if someone is following him, other than the other two. He stops to take a breath. He sits down on the ground. he looks up at inaluct and chaoticjosh, both still standing.
...Why?
He notices inaluct, Metalcrafter, is holding something in his hand. A dagger held against chaoticjosh's throat.
"Don't run," inaluct shouted over the pouring rain. "He can't follow you forever."
"You can't win," Mephansteras replied. "You'll nev--Wait, who?" He looks around just in time to see Zaithemaster, the Druid, swinging an axe at him.
Mephansteras has impeccable reflexes, dodging the axe. Zaithemaster swings many more times, but can't seem to hit him. inaluct looks on incredulous and impatient. He rolls his eyes, stabbing chaoticjosh in the stomach. inaluct runs behind Mephansteras, trying to stop him from moving. Mephansteras takes a look behind, tripping over a tree root. He hits his head into a rock, falling unconscious before Zaithemaster bring the axe down on his torso, breaking bones and organs, killing him.
They leave chaoticjosh, Woodcrafter, to bleed from the wound in his stomach. Perhaps he could stop the bleeding long enough for someone to save him.
Or maybe not. Whatever he case, the Elves had won.
Game Over. Elves win.
