Did you DL the runtimes? What system are you running?

Also, my server is down for the night. I saved the map through, so all the megaprojects are safe.

Damn, I really want to play this game, but its not working whatever I do. I installed the XNA runtime, and still isnt working. I tried to install .NET 2.0 but it seems I already have it or a newer version so it didnt install, and still not working. Each time I try to open the client, it gives me an error with a large list of variables and functions (a traceback maybe?), and then I have to use task manager to manually end the infiniminer process. I've got Windows XP, anyone have any idea what is going wrong?

That's probably what we use it for, but the actual point of the game is to rake in more cash than the other team.

Even non DF players seem to play more for the sandbox than the money.

Well, direct connect over internet doesn't seem to be working very well, ar at least very iffy, so to really play you need one of those LAN over internet programs, probably the one mentioned on the site.
Once you get that running, direct connect to their "LAN" IP and hope that their connection is decent. You can still join a server with a bad connection, and there will be few issues at all, but joining the server will take a long time.

Alternatively, you can start your own server and join it, as all servers on a REAL LAN show up by IP, or at least all servers on your own computer.

I couldn't find any server info. Care to post it?

We should keep a list of which servers are going at the moment.

Mine is now running, just use Hamachi (download it if you don't have it), join infiniB12 (pass infiniminer), then run the client and use the "direct connect" option, since the menu is somewhat buggy. IP's 5.30.52.16 .

Basically, Infiniminer is a game where you mine for ore, and then build stuff with it. There is gold and diamonds hidden deep underground, which you can mine and return to your base to get money and win the game, but then it restarts the server.
Everyone has a pickaxe and some sort of "building gun", which everyone can use to build blocks, force-field of your team's color, and ladders.

There are 4 classes:
-the Miner, which hasn't anything special, except, I quote the game, he "DIGS LIKE A FREAKING TERRIER". It's like it's pickaxe is in full-auto mode: you don't have to click repeatdly to dig.

-the Prospector, which has a radar to detect gold and diamonds.

-the Engineer, which can build nearly everything, force-field from both colors, trampolines, high-voltage blocks aka "shock blocks", teleporters and banks. He also can deconstruct blocks built by his team.

-the Sapper, which can build explosive blocks, and make them explode with a big red button on a remote.

Underground, you can find lava, which flows! And incinerates you. You'll dig into it more often than not.
Also, there are natural caves, which are mostly accessible from the surface.
You don't want to jump off the edge or the bottom of the world, through.
