I tried that.

It didn't look good, that's all.
Couldn't find a good representation of a 3-D modeled zerg
And drawing terrans is a pain in the ass.

Because it centers on annoying socialites (not a unique flaw), Tolstoy takes too long to say anything, and it's become the idol of pseudo intellectuals everywhere because of it's length.

There are about a million better novels than War and Peace, most of which take far less time to read. Basically anything by Mark Twain is about a hundred times better.

well, firstly, we must take care not to mix opinion and preference with fact and qualification. there are those who find Twain to be a jumbled mess of nonsensical blather (I'm not one of them).

although, I must admit, I am a bit bias.
I hope to be a writer, and I enjoy the way
Tolstoy crafts his prose.

and furthermore, I don't think socialites are particularly annoying.
