I always wanted to play "Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together" but it hasn't been translated, and PS copies are so hard to come by.

I also realized this when I visited the local Genghis Khan exhibit today.  Go figure.  I'm just going to have to keep out of "so who do you think is hottest" conversations from now on.

"Oh, me?  Well, you know... that one professor.  Yeah, he's probably 60, whatever.  And Genghis Khan.  Er..."

Yeah, I considered trying to play that, but I despise the Playstation. Why does it have loading times?! D:

I'll tell you guys if I find a rom of it, though.

Not a chick please. Cyborg-Strife was bad enough.

Sniper-ninja it is.

Whew, finally done the tutorial. Next up is outfitting. Everyone needs to say (again) their preferred gender, name (limited to 8 characters), class, and element.

Name: Joshua
Gender: Male
Class: Badass Spell-slinger
Element: Earth

Does my element determine my spells/spell resistances also, or just the terrain bonuses?

If you use equipment or spells of your same alignment, you get a small bonus. And if you attack someone of the opposite element, you get another small bonus, but I think they do too when they counter.

Class: Probably soldier
Element: Heart

You want to be... the basic soldier class? And by heart I guess you mean 'heat' or fire?

Well, If I can start out as a Warlock or a Dragoon, I'm all for that. I assumed soldier was probably a good starting place.

And I couldn't think of a good element to pick. Fire is fine.

Ah. See, by class, I meant what class you're going to end up as. Yes, soldier is a good starting point; it's also kinda necessary.

Also, I borked up and accidentally blew 1000 goth by hiring a soldier named Eliott when I was trying to figure out how long peoples' names could be. So we're low on funds... I'll probably just do a random encounter before I head for the next story (hah!) battle.

If it's possible for me to be almost useful staying as a soldier through the whole game, I'm open to that.

We need everyone else to pick different elements, so we can summon Captain Planet!

Aw, I still have a special place in my heart for Allos and Flauros, because I always used them in every battle, so they were both unstoppable badasses.

As much as I'd like to wind up a Dragoon, I can be a Hawkman.  Wind element, so I can get extra bonuses using that wind hammer you get eventually.  Unless you can hire a Giant.
