It would make it easier for low-level-English speaking people to read about DF without too much effort.

That seems a just reason to me.
Why would they read about DF, when the game is free and has a completely comprehensible site?
Using Wikipedia in general for things like this is obsolete.

Let's see what happens when I simplewiki something extremely hard.

"You searched for Large hadron colider. If you cannot find what you are looking for here, try searching English Wikipedia, Simple English Wiktionary, or English Wiktionary."

...

Ok... Something else.

Guess one of the explanations fails on a regular basis.

I sincerely hope that in the unlikely event of alien invasion, they do their research through simple English wikipedia. In an attempt of diplomacy the alien hands a Venus symbol to Angela Merkel and asks her if she would like to have a baby or maybe vote as this appears to be what women enjoy.

CURSES! Firefox told me Colider was correct! But now it says it isn't! FAH!!!!

Seriously. That should at least be a redirect page. What's the point of a simple wiki if it requires perfect spelling?

http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_Hadron_Collider

This is actually pretty good.

Trying to describe complicated things using only simple terms is inherently flawed. Instead of something that's easy to read you end up with something more akin to assembly language. Like that quantum mechanics article there.
